1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1/4 cup bread crumbs (I use Italian-style)
1 small yellow onion, chopped
1/4 cup chopped celery
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
For the Gravy:
2 tbs unsalted butter
2 tbs whole wheat or all-purpose flour
1 cup beef broth
5 drops Worcestershire sauce
Meanwhile, make the gravy. Heat the broth in the microwave. Then, in a small saucepan, melt the butter. Add the flour and cook for a minute or two, then add the hot broth. Stir with a whisk until the mixture thickens, making sure there are no lumps in the gravy. Add the Worcestershire sauce, and season to taste. I served peas on the side with a little butter, salt and pepper; the gravy over all. Enjoy!
