For the sauce:
1 lb of ground beef
1 onion, minced
2 large cloves of garlic, minced
olive oil
dried parsley and oregano
15 oz of marinara sauce
For the rest:
1 16 oz package of ziti
8oz shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Put a large pot of water on to boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package directions for the "firm" pasta. Now add the ricotta cheese to the meat sauce, and mix thoroughly. Add 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese to the meat sauce. Add the now-cooked pasta to the sauce, and fill the baking dish with the mixture. Top with remaining mozzarella as well as the Parmesan cheese. Bake for 30 minutes covered with aluminum foil; uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until top is melted and possibly browned a bit. Enjoy immediately.
